Made for a Halloween show, this was a half burnt, haunted ventriloquist dummy. The head was made out of carved foam, coated in epoxy resin, and airbrushed painted. The head was mounted to a wooden frame that was fixed to a pivot. With the use of gears and a servo motor, the head could turn side to side.It was remote controlled. The dummy was on stage with his head turned so that the audience can only see the normal side. As the spooky story progressed on stage, the head would eventually turn in a staggering motion to show the burnt side of the face.
All of the movement was programmed using the Basic Stamp microprocessor and a servo motor. |
